Working with Grants and Donors to make the most of your collections. May 15, 2019 • Bedford Public Library, 3 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford, NH Join the New Hampshire Archives Group (NHAG) on May 15 at the Bedford Public Library for the Spring 2019 workshop. Registration and coffee will be available at 9:00 AM. Following a brief NHAG annual meeting at 9:30, we'll hear from a panel about different grants available to organizations within the Granite State. Charles Shipman of the New Hampshire State Library will describe the Moose Plate Conservation program, Anne Phillips of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation will provide an overview of the Foundation’s programs and what your institution may apply for, and Gary McCool of Plymouth State University will discuss the Grant Research Center at Plymouth State. After the panel, John Clayton, Executive Director of Manchester Historic Association, will discuss some of the ways he and the Manchester Historic Association have been successful in engaging the local community. After lunch (included in registration fee), Barbara Rimkunas, Curator of the Exeter Historical Society, will talk about funding and care of collections through accessioning, processing, and more. NHAG members are $20; non-members are $30; combined workshop/membership (new or renewed through May 2020) is $35. |
